Have you ever seen someone do something and you have said to yourself why in the world would they do that? If you ask them they can explain why but it might make no sense to you and that’s because it’s their story. It’s when you realize you have never been in their shoes and even worse walked in it. It in all probability won’t fit you as it was made for them. So it might be too tight or too big. It wasn’t made to fit you as it does them. Their life and experiences are different from yours so don’t try understanding, it makes no sense in so many aspects.
Don’t envy others when you have no idea how they got to where they are. My mother always said that. Sometimes you might be looking at the lifestyle of others and think it is the perfect life after all they have money and status but is it any better than yours? Wouldn’t it be lovely to be a prince and live in a castle and have a gorgeous life? But is it as lovely as you think? Guess what you might live better. Why would I say this? It’s the fact that you have less money but more freedom. Maybe freedom to do whatever you want is a higher currency than money in the grand scheme of things. What do you think? You won’t know if you would actually enjoy that person’s life as you have never walked in their shoes. I guess it’s human nature to want what you don’t have as the grass is always greener on the other side. The thing is you don’t know what they had to do in terms of mowing and fertilizing so how do you know that it’s as easy as you think?
It’s interesting to see the lifestyle portrayed on social media and to imagine that what you see is real. So often it’s a smoke screen. What you see is not what you get. Well that’s what I have seen but it’s easy to be fooled not realizing that all that glitters is not gold.
