Stress can be a killer if not managed properly, that’s from many studies done. I have seen and learnt that the hard way. Why allow it to rule your life? So many persons think being stressed is normally and they proudly claim, “I am so stressed.” You would believe it’s a badge of honor. Why do you think this is something that you should be proud of? Is it what we are taught by society? It shows we are so busy and important.
It took me a while but I finally figured it out a number of years ago that stress is not good. Why would I be stressing and fretting about what happens at work and all around me? Who will it and does it affect? Yes you might think you are so efficient but are you really? Also do you leave it at work or do you take it with you and wear it like a cloak wrapped around you in your life outside of work?
This is where I will insist there has to be a balance. It might not be a perfect balance but you have to try. When you look back can you say the work was so fulfilling and yet you have nothing outside of it to show? I have seen this happen with persons I know personally. The work and it’s associated stress consumed them and at the end of it all they had nothing to show as the business wasn’t even theirs. Life must be more. As you know I love to say, “life is for living.” You have to know why you are doing this.
What are your priorities? Work can be your number one if that is how you feel but create some kind of a balance or you will only have stress and heartache as your norm. Do we really need this or is it just to ensure we “live well?” Or is it just about keeping up with the Jones? Why, as is often said are you trying to keep up with others when very often you don’t even like them? Is it worth it?
Let me know what you think. Is your life full of stress or have you found the formula of how to live “well” without allowing the stress of life to take over? For me it’s a work in progress but I will let you know I have come a long way. I have a way to go but it’s not goal. It’s just a journey that I’m on.
I really want to know what you are thinking, and I know others do too. Try commenting 👍🏽, but if you are not comfortable, reach out to me via any medium. Your comments let me know how you feel and very often give me a total different perspective on the topic. 😉.

Like u i find that it is always “in working progress” to stave off stress but i can tell u for me its knowing that i have potential to do great things and the challenge to prove that i can is the greatest stress for me. Having a family means u cant wear blinders anymore and everything will be competing for your attention. So what do u do?
You find a balance. Set your priorities. If not there will be stress and you won’t be able to control it.
Stress can be all consuming so you have to decide what is important.
It’s a journey like you said. I’m learning to leave it to God. I’m learning to pray and have Him control my life. There a times I get derailed and feel l can do it on my own. Jesus is my way and He is in control.
Letting go and letting God is hard, but I found out it helps. It’s a process and a journey. The good thing is that you started.
