It’s almost the start of a new year and really we should step forward leaving some things behind. Prioritize what you should keep and what you should leave. It’s just like when you packing your bag to get on a plane you can’t take everything especially when you travelling with a certain no frills airline that shall remain nameless. It makes no sense going forward with the extra baggage. Take only what is needed. It’s like making those New Year’s resolutions but using a system that has a better chance of working.
Stepping forward into the new year is not an option as it’s a part of life. Time marches on and waits on no one. It’s up to you to decide how you cope with the move. Do you sit and decide that it will be as it always was or do you make a change and create a new person every day? I select the latter. There is really no way to remain the same. We are one day older and hopefully one day wiser. Use that wisdom properly. Move on, don’t sit there complaining about what happened yesterday or the day before that. Use what happened before as a way of learning. If you made a mistake or someone did something that really upset you. Learn from it. As the saying goes, “fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
It makes no sense creating these lofty plans for the new year that will never happen because they are too large for you to do without a foundation. So start with bite size pieces as the saying goes, “the easiest way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.” And don’t forget to create the plan. Sit and write and put that plan in place. How do you expect to have anything happen without planning? Planning is essential to life. It doesn’t mean things will always go according to plan. Perish that thought, it is after all life but it makes sense to have some sort of plan so that you are able to say let me go to the left when life punches you in the right side of the face.
Happy new year everyone and make the best of life. It is after all life and meant to be lived to the fullest.

Happy New Year to you too Andrea. Continue to do what you do.
Thank you and all the best. I will carry on 🙏🏽
I have always loved the behavior of water. Fluid. Adapting to its environment. Forceful in some conditions yet serene in others. Even changing forms when the circumstances require such.
This has been very much the story of my life. I have lived my life this way by choice, knowing that making plans, though important, was not as important as remaining adaptable to life’s many plot changes. For better or worse, these changes come and sometimes more often or more intensely than we’d like.
These are the times when I most likely reflect on the capacity and capabilities of water and draw from nature’s wisdom. It has served me well thus far and I don’t foresee any reason to live otherwise. Many things and people enter our lives but for a season and get swept along with us or deposited as we move on but isn’t that just how life is?? Ever evolving?
I like water. I think I’ll go have some to quench my thirst.
Happy New You Everyone!!!
I like this, life is indeed very fluid. We have to bob and weave with it or …

Continue your approach and live life to the best of your ability as it’s what we should do. After all it’s life.
All the best to you and yours. 🙏🏽
I am reminded of a quote from Alice in Wonderland- “it’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.” We are changing & evolving, growing..using lessons learned to help us better navigate life. I do a lot of reflective thinking and prayer- what can I do differently? What does God want me to do? Every experience brings an opportunity to learn and grow..I move into the new year with the same mindset.
Happy New Year Andrea! I look forward to your blogs! Blessings!!!
No use going back as you rightly said. It’s best to look to the future as going back makes no sense.
You have the right idea, how do I grow as an individual. Best mindset ever.
Thank you and a happy new year.
