I have attended quite a number of virtual seminars recently and I noted that the caption seems to be all the rage. I noticed that it’s used more now when work from home has become the norm than it was in the past. Could it be because of the stress of Covid-19 or is it because persons are now working in many instances longer hours? Or is it because the lines have been blurred between work hours and home hours?
I’ve seen the push towards meditation even more than in the pass. I guess for some self care starts with the mind. If the mind is restless and you are not happy then does it affect the body? I think so. It’s taking one day at a time, not the future not the past but the now. I know we have been hearing this even more but could it be true? We have to focus on the now and ourselves. Without this how will we be able to focus on the family or the job? Burnout is not nice or kind. Take care of you.

What a segue! My younger daughter just came to me moments ago and asked, “what does carpe diem mean”? So Google reminded me ….that one should enjoy life while one can. …
For me though, the foundation for self care is grounded in acknowledging God every moment of the day. With that, we can then adhere to the adage ‘let your food be your medicine, and your medicine your food’, as well as ‘make sure you eat food from plants, instead of food that is made in plants’.
If we have all those things down to a ‘science’, then fortifying our mental health is a matter that comes without effort. It is my belief that boosting our immunity can bring us in equilibrium with our mental status, so we should feed our body with not just good food, but spiritual food as well.
Well said. Take cars of yourself now and don’t wait until …..
