I remember years ago one of my cousins in England sent me a message on BBM (don’t pretend you don’t remember BBM 😂). It was about someone that did well on Britain Got’s Talent. It was Susan Boyle, a fantastic singer. If you don’t know her just check YouTube. Her performance went viral.
I think the thing that struck me the most about her audition was that EVERYBODY was laughing at her because of how she looked. But when she opened her mouth and sang it was amazing to see the looks on their faces. She became a inspiration for me because she didn’t care what people thought and she didn’t think she was too old to go after her dreams.
I watched her audition again recently and thought “never judge a book by its cover.” Just looking at someone doesn’t mean you know them. It’s interesting to see persons assuming that someone is a nice person because they are “cute.” Or the reverse they not nice because they not pleasant on the eyes. 🤔. When will we get to the stage where we get to know persons before judging them? That’s something my mother would not tolerate. People are people and must be treated as such not because of how you perceive them to be. As that old adage states “all that glitters is not gold.”
It’s even worst now with social media. People assume they know others because of the lifestyle they portray online. Interestingly what you see isn’t always real but because you judge the book by its cover you will never know and maybe you don’t want to know.
What do you think about this topic? Have you been judged because of the way you look, how you talk, etc or have you done the judging? Send me your response via any medium, I will answer.
See you next Wednesday, at 8:00 pm.

The story is written inside the book, not on the cover. Else there would’ve no need to by the book if the cover tells it all
So true. Love the way you put it. Let’s look inside the book.
