The night before Alexis should have done her last karate grading (she was to become a senior brown belt 🤗), she said to me out of the blue “never give up.” The morning of the grading I said to her do your best today babygirl and she said you always say never give up. What could I do but agree. The grading is always rough, but to see her and the others hold on to that philosophy throughout was absolutely fantastic. That was the theme throughout the day by all present. It’s something I am glad my kids are being taught and are actually absorbing. Never give up has and will always be their way of life. We will do the best we can to help them. The most amazing part was when she was finished and said to me, “why would I stop now I have come this far. I might as well become a black belt.” Imagine that coming from a nine year old. Out of the mouth of babes. Never give up.
On the other hand, I know I will get the question, “suppose you have been pursuing the wrong path?” What do you do in that situation? Give up or continue down the rabbit hole? My question is how long did it take you figure out it was wrong and if it is why are you still doing it?🤔. Changing path does not mean that you gave up. It just means you woke up in time and won’t waste more time.
So many persons could have done major things in their lives but gave up because it was too hard. I have learnt throughout my life that nothing happens overnight and nothing is given to you on a platter, unless you are a trust fund baby 🤣 and I know none. So I had to work for what I wanted and never stopped because it was too hard. Thinking about it I can’t remember anything being easy. If it was too easy I know I was wary. Is it good? Can’t be good if it’s free or that easy. Maybe it is the suspicious side of me 😂🤔. I wonder is it natural to think like that or is it something learnt? That question is for another blog.
Never giving up is something you hear all the time from persons that have been successful and those with the aspirations to become successful. Is it something that is a part of your makeup or do you take the easy way out? Let me know.
See you next Wednesday, at 8:00 pm.

Great attitude alexis.. never give up! She has the right attitude and that’s key. Thanks for sharing andrea.
A great attitude and I will continue to support.
NEVER GIVE UP is our martial arts mantra.
Things get rough fr time to time, its the way of the world and our first thought is:::NEVER GIVE UP.
Thank you for being there for them. Never give up is her thing.
For years I told my daughter “whenever you take off your socks tie them together before putting them in the clothes basket”…that is from age three. To my surprise when she was leaving home at age 17 for college in the US, I watched with utter disbelief when she tied the socks and put them in the basket. I never did give him on her.👏
👏🏽. She knew what to do and believe me she will continue. It’s now a part of her as many things you have taught her.
