“Don’t count your days, make your days count.” I saw this somewhere and had to use it to start the blog. This is so true. When you decide to live you life to the fullest and live for yourself that is when you really make you days count. Notice the emphasis on your days. They belong to you and no one else. How do you go about ensuring that you days count and that is all that matters?
Do you sit waiting and living just for the weekends? What about the other days? How do you make them matter? What must you do to take yourself to the point where all days no matter if it’s the five work days or the weekends mean the same? For me it’s how do I live my life to the fullest. How do I make myself happy to wake up every morning and give that higher being thanks for opening my eyes. How do I ensure that I show gratitude for all that I have and for all that I will receive.
Both my parents lived their lives to the fullest and they thought all persons should live to the best of their abilities. They showed me how you should live even if things look bleak. My mother especially would say to me go after what you want and keep an open mind. She was talking about adjusting your mindset even before it was the popular thing. This is one of the reasons why I would always see the glass half full instead of half empty. As I would say to some people I live in perpetual hope. It makes no sense allowing yourself to not see that life is for living. As I have always said your life is your own and can’t be handed over to anyone else to make it the best it can be. It took me a while to figure this out. I had to make myself happy, no one else can. If you push your happiness onto someone else to do for you then you will be surely disappointed. You have to take it a day at a time. That is why your days have to count. How do we make those days count?
How do you start your days? It’s always been said that how your day starts is how it will continue. I start early and as I open my eyes I give praise for another day above ground. As I have mentioned before I don’t do the news or social media as I get up. That’s allowing others to dictate how I feel. I determine how I feel and I chose happiness even when I’m shouting at kids to move along so we are not late. I take that with me on my commute. It’s great to start early in the morning before the whole city is out. There is little to no congestion and I move drop off and get to harness the silence around me to do some deep thinking. Sometimes it works well and sometimes not so well but being able to get into flow every now and again helps me to get to a place of some contentment. What about you? How do you start your days?
It’s interesting that no matter how my day goes I try to keep it on the good side.😉. If it’s going downhill I won’t allow it to overwhelm me because it’s my day and not the person hell bent on wreaking havoc on me. Very often they don’t even realize what they are doing as they only care about themselves so why should I allow it to push me over the cliff. It’s my life and I have to live my best day everyday. #bestlife #bestdays.
