Covid-19 has proved to the world without a shadow of a doubt how connected the world is. When some people talk about isolation you realize that they don’t understand the dynamics of this world. It’s a global village. It started in one country and in no time at all it had hit so many countries in the world. This virus shows how borders are porous. It’s flowed around the world. It left panic and death in its wake. This totally threw all plans worldwide in a tailspin. In the words of that old quote, “Man plans and God laughs.”
I wonder if many of our leaders have learnt from this or will they continue to think they know it all and be arrogant? 🤦🏾♀️. Why don’t we learn from history? 🤷🏽♀️. This is history repeating itself and in my humble opinion it didn’t have to come to this. Now it’s here what do we do and where do we go from here? How do we stop this monster? How do we prevent a repeat of this fiasco? Sigh. Just wondering out aloud.
Just looking at the figures daily is interesting. The changes are constant. No two days are alike. Not only has this virus affect the daily lives of so many persons from a health perspective but it affected the financial markets, production, logistics, etc. One would have thought this would have happened with a war. This was not a war waged by humans but nature and guess what, nature whopped the humans well.
Covid-19 showed us how connected we are and how small the world is. It is a small world after all. Let’s understand this. The concept of six degrees of separation is what is happening. The virus started spreading in one country and look at us now over 120 of the countries of the world are now affected. It spreads easily and one person can affect so many others and they affect others and look now we have a Pandemic. We will get through this just be careful and vigilant. 🙏🏽

Covid 19 has put a different spin on the big C. I mean the big C now really have a new meaning. This really makes the inconnectivity of this world less appealing. It also confirms how being selfish or selfless can impact us. Am I going to self quarantine? What are others going to think….my boss e.g.? And not to mention of I do and ots a hoax! Then what’s worse, the basic items that are required at this time flew of the shelves quicker than when there is a cat 3 hurricane on our horizon. Talk about selfish – the rich is proud of how many cases of masks and hand sanitizers etc they have bought and hoarded. They forget that their helper, gardener and driver who can’t even buy anything until they get payed this weekend (and it is already spent before they get payed) would be coughing on them and their possessions! Indees we are disconnectedly connected.
Sigh. Who would have thought this would happen. The need to remember that we should be our brothers, keeper is so important.
Wow it is so sad that covid 19 doesn’t it the poor alone it going to hit the upper class and the top ranks. What a mighty GOD we serve.
Covid-19 respects no one. If does not matter race, religion or wealth.
Can you imagine that?
If you think Covid-19 was bad, be very happy you were not living in 1918 – This was the beginning of the first global pandemic called the Spanish flu. this monster took out over 20 million people in a 3yr span and this was before jet airlines. I know we are scared now but the world has been through worse and based on the numbers coming out of China things will get better. China is reporting only 15 new cases this means it’s going down. Arm yourselves with information on how best to take care of your families and neighbours. This little planet is all we have and its even more important to understand that we are our brothers keeper.
At least we have modern technology and communication. As it’s been said it will get worst before it gets better but it will get better as long as we do what we should.
