The quote above is one of my favorite of all time. I have seen that in my life time and time again and also in other person’s experiences. I sat recently wondering how I would scale a problem that looked insurmountable, Mount Kilimanjaro had nothing on it. I notice that it was sorted twice over in two weeks. When everything was sorted this quote came to mind. Interestingly when I look back it was if I meet the right people at the right time and was in the right place at the right time. The thing is I didn’t even notice when the pieces were falling in place because I guess I wasn’t looking at the bigger picture. It never dawned on me that this would be bigger than me. The important thing was I had faith that it would be achieved, but I never expected everything to happen that quickly. I have so much gratitude for what I was given and what I am still to receive.

Some of the things that cleared were things that I should have done ages ago but it never felt right. Do you know what I mean? I never saw the big picture until everything was in place seemingly effortlessly. It looked as if I was just standing waiting and the universe just moved the pieces of my life in the right place as if it was a chess match. At the end I was able to say triumphantly “checkmate”. Even though it was as if I did everything at the right time I knew it was greater than me. It was so much more than I might have initially thought.

Recently I was talking to someone and I kept saying to him you have to believe. You have to want it really badly. Without that nothing will happen. I have seen it a number of times. I know it’s real. Without that belief it’s as if the universe stops waiting on you to move. A couple days later I was talking to someone else who is the exact opposite he believes that whatever he wants is there to be taken. He called me saying that quote you keep saying is so true. His story was fantastic, goose bumps fantastic. As I have said more than once you don’t sit there waiting for it to fall in your lap you have to start the process. You have to put in the work. Just go ahead and do what is needed. As the Bible says “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” Faith is a must to go along with any work that you put in, you must believe.

Now I don’t want anyone to think that I’m pushing for you to do really hard work because that’s all it takes to succeed. Nothing could be further from the truth. I realized that most most of what we achieve involves a bit of preparation. Putting that foundation in place makes the difference. Sometimes we wonder why things are not moving or just not happening at all and it very often comes down to the fact that we are over ambitious without having put in any work. Even with a brilliant idea the success doesn’t happen overnight it takes work and planning to get where you want to go.
