Luck

“Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity”. This quote is attributed to Roman philosopher Seneca. Looking at this it can be said you create your own luck. You have to put in the work so when the opportunity presents itself you can grab it. Some would say you have to also create your own opportunities, do you agree or disagree?

Don’t we just have opportunities fall at our feet or is that some persons? Or is it that they see the opportunity when few would?

Opportunities have presented themselves to me and I have grabbed them eagerly and that made a difference in my life and I have seen it with other persons. I have also heard persons referring to them as lucky. They don’t consider it luck but just that they seized the opportunity presented.

Does it matter where you were born or what section of the society that you were born into? Can you make it out of what look likes doom to glory? I think of my grandparents on both sides of my family and say it doesn’t matter where you are from it just depends on what your want from life. Are you willing to work for what you want? Remember lotto not easy to win. 😉. So if you put in the work and prepare yourself then when the opportunity comes you are ready. Now the important thing is to prepare properly and know what you want. You don’t want to have your ladder against the wrong wall and at the end of the day realize you are climbing the wrong wall. I have seen this a number of times. Persons have no idea of what they want out of life. They just expect life will take their hands and lead them in the right direction. I’m here to tell you life doesn’t work like that. She expects you to let her know what you want. That’s what will give you the luck you want.
