One day while reading a book (fiction), the woman had the ability to see the future. Some would say a gift others a curse. Anyway she used her gift in the best way she could. Now the question is are we using the gifts given by the almighty or are we like the servant in the parable told by Jesus that hid his gift instead of using it?
Does it make a difference if we use our gifts or not? Does anybody care? Should we even care what happens to those gifts? Do we lose them if we donโt use them and does it really matter? Are these gifts really important or does hard work trump talent? When can talent help? Are athletes, for example the only ones that it makes a difference in their lives? Or do they also have to work equally hard to nurture that gift?
So if you are not born with a gift can you learn how to develop one? ๐ค. I wonder. I have so many questions but no real answers so, I really want to know what you are thinking, and I know others do too. First and foremost LIFE is a gift. But outside of that we all have gifts, some more obvious than others. Friendship for example is a gift. It may not win you a gold medal, but when the fans go quiet it’s usually still there. We should never hide our gifts nor take them for granted, but nurture them.
Gifts are more than talent and we should always show gratitude. Great way to look at life.
I love this because it brings about a lot of thoughts.. For me, I think I it has to be that we are given talents/gifts and are expected to either use and increase them or have them taken away. It’s just like muscles and working out. The more we exercise is the bigger and better we become. If we don’t exercise then all of it goes away and then one can barely move from room to room. Just like in the Bible when the persons are given the talents. Some increased but one decided to bury his and ended up having it taken away.
Use the gifts or lose them. Itโs the law of life.
